  To start, cross a wooden bridge, and you’re on your way.    Lush greenery smacks you in the face as you continue along with the creek flowing to your right. On warm days, sunlight filters in through the tree cover and brightens the already gorgeous forest. It’s tough to imagine a more perfect two-mile hike than this.    This hike packs a lot of fun into an easy, quick stroll,  In the spring, the creek gushes powerfully with water, particularly after a rainy winter. Visit later in the summer, and you’ll get to climb down to the creek bed and hop along the rocks, searching for salamanders and crayfish.   29th Annual Run / Walk for the Animals!       Sunday May 15th, Alton Baker Park On Your Barks, Get Set, Go! Alton Baker Park goes to the dogs AGAIN! on Sunday May 15th, when over 1,000 dogs and their people leash up for a 10K, 5K, or 2K run/walk in the park. There’s the run, the walk, canine activities, vendor booths, demonstrations, and more! Its a Fundraise for the animals! With your help we hope to raise $100,000 to help care for over 3,100 animals in 2022.  Some of the Dogs were Dressed Just Like Their Parents  Me and Jovi Participated in the 2k Walk, it was a lot of Fun Jovi took a Swim Break Half  way thru the 2K Walk…. Me and Jovi had a Fantastic Time.   Jovi was Able to Find alot of New Smells, and He  Met and Greeted Many Many New Fur Friends.   He was a Very Good Boy Today Considering that there was Many Many People and Dogs at Bark in the Park  

  Parvin Covered Bridge, also known as “Lost Creek Bridge,” is a little off the beaten path but well worth the drive.  Set in a spectacular rural landscape, it has all the romantic charm one desires in a covered bridge. “While I was Shooting this Covered Bridge a Gentleman was Walking his Dog, and he came up to me, and started to Talk about Covered Bridges, he said Before he Retired he used to Work for the State and he was the Bridge Inspector for the State of Oregon,  he talked about Old Bridges through out Oregon and then he told me about a Covered Bridge in Deadwood Oregon that was made just for Log Trucks at one time for a Mill and that the floor is Slanted to Accommodate the Trucks.   He said if I was ever in that Area its Worth Checking out.   He was very Interesting to Listen to and Talk to.   Guess where I will be Going? ”  Originally a 66-foot (20 m) bridge spanned Lost Creek, a tributary of the Middle Fork of the Willamett...

  Cougar Reservoir Area In the summer months, Cougar Reservoir is a popular place for boating, swimming and fishing. Cougar Reservoir is located outside of Blue River along Aufderheide Drive, part of the West Cascades National Scenic Byway. Camping is restricted to developed campgrounds in the Cougar Recreation Area . There are three developed campgrounds near the reservoir,  Cougar Crossing ,  Slide Creek , and  Sunnyside . The popular  Terwilliger Hot Springs  is along Rider Creek just west of the reservoir. A lake is the landscape’s most beautiful and expressive feature.
